The Hippie Lane Book Launch

Written By Admin 13 Mar 2017

What a night! So loved up I can hardly contain my excitement. Here's a little peek of the images that made this night so beautiful.

The Hippie Lane Book Launch
Oh my gosh, what a night! Feeling all loved up after an amazing night to celebrate the launch of my first cookbook, Hippie Lane, The Cookbook. I am still buzzing with good vibes and feels 3 days on! I spent much of my year last year absorbed in creating this beautiful book which still sort of feels unreal. I was busy creating and triple testing new recipes, writing the content for the book, creating all the dishes for photography and meeting with the publishers, Murdoch Books, to discuss the design, layout, sales, publicity and the nitty gritties that is involved with book publishing. It was an intense process and definitely all consuming. With strict deadlines and responsibilities, I threw myself, head and heart, into the project. Working alongside a talented and super professional team, I was able to navigate the publishing journey with very few hiccups, and come out on the other side (thankfully!) The result is a beautiful 110+ recipe book that includes all my favourite recipes, and I am super proud of the finished product. Such an amazing moment when you meet your insta friends, women that I have chatted to day in and day out over the last 3 beautiful years of my social media journey - finally face to face and altogether. It was more magical than I expected - these girls are change-makers: talented, warm-hearted and beautiful inside and out. A magic combination and my kind of perfect. Speaking from the heart, going back to our early days and retelling the road that led me to here, I couldn't keep in together. I was stressing, with racing thoughts about how I was going to keep composed when it was my turn to speak. I'm a sucker for deep and meaningful tributes and she got me good! [caption id="attachment_582" align="alignnone" width="405"] Mixed Emotions - With my bestie, Sophia Ajaka[/caption] I was honoured to face my guests, mic in hand to tell my story and had the opportunity to thank all in the room and the wider health community for supporting me to this sweet  point in my career. I was able to give some context and deliver with it a clear message: to follow your passion and live your dreams. [caption id="attachment_586" align="alignnone" width="392"] Family love and support - my everything.[/caption] My husband rounded up the speeches with his honest and real take on what it's like to be the supporting husband and his account of the early days of healthy eating. I wasn't sure whether I was going to laugh or cry! Funny, real and very fitting to the type of guy he is, any chance at some fun and laughs and he'll take it. Me and my husband, Sam Gabrielian - My role model and major inspiration. I was able to talk one on one with all (or most) of the guests whilst sipping on drinks and personalising their cookbooks with messages and a signature. So surreal to share the book with all, so exciting to finally reveal it! An amazing night, one to remember and to treasure forever. Thank you to all that made it and celebrated the night with me, those there in spirit and to Murdoch Books for their belief in me and my vision. I am super excited to share the book with you all. In Australian stores April 1! With so much love, Taline xo ps. The images here are the preliminary lot, with more to come during the course of the week. I will upload them as I receive them.
